Rhythm Radar are delighted to introduce talented indie maverick Oliver Beardmore as our next Sound of the Underground artist.
Birmingham-based Oliver made his musical ambitions known from an early age, penning his first tracks and releasing a trio of singles in 2017 and 2018, he has quickly established himself as one-to-watch in the UK scene.
Packed full with angst and vehemence Oliver Beardmore’s sound has an intensely emotive feel. Power punching guitars are contrasted perfectly by Oliver’s softly sweet vocal tone to create that enviable equilibrium between joy and despair.
We can’t quite tell if Oliver’s soundscapes make us want to smile or cry, a mysterious wonderland of sound that has us truly in our feels.
Track Fiesta reminds me of the gorgeously good Indie-Rock sound of the 2000s, equal parts depressing and beautiful Oliver Beardmore is a true Indie maverick.
It’s no wonder that Oliver’s style and musicality has earned him comparisons to the songwriting of indie icons such as Alex Turner and Noel Gallagher.
‘Fiesta’ is a striking first look at Oliver Beardmore’s upcoming EP rumoured for release in mid-2021.
Promising to deliver a plethora dreamy shoegaze tracks, there’s no better time to become an Oliver Beardmore fan.
Follow Oliver to stay up to date with upcoming releases.
