SHK pays tribute to UFC legend with his latest heavyweight release ‘Undefeated’

Most lyricists write about emotions, sometimes love, sometimes hate. Yet SHK found a very different source of inspiration to create his latest stand out single Undefeated.

SHK was musically inspired by none other than Khabib Nurmagomedov, the legendary Russian mixed-martial artist. Ranking as one of his most important personal heroes, Nurmagomedov forms the basis of SHK’s new stand out single Undefeated.

SHK explains:

“I have been really inspired by his hard-work, skills, integrity, discipline and unconquerable spirit. I think he is a great role-model for any professional, especially for Muslims”.

Undefeated is a message to all to shoot for the stars and dream big. For postman, to schoolchild or nuclear physicist, SHK’s powerful message remains the same: push for your dreams, no matter how impossible they may seem, and remain undefeated through all circumstance.

SHK, otherwise known as Shahzad Khan, is a Pakistan-born and Reading-based singer-songwriter and poet. A talented lyricist who touches on spirituality, Sufism and self-reformation through song.

SHK’s other passion lies in martial arts, and it was combining these two creative outlets that founded his powerful new single.

Undefeated is a pop-rock track guaranteed to motivate, move and remain in your head long after listening. A catchy earworm of a tune with a strong life message that makes Undefeated a heavyweight champion as far as singles go.

Undefeated and its accompanying music video was released just in time, acting as the perfect testament to Nurmagomedov’s winning his final fight, a victory the fighter dedicated to his father who died earlier this year.

Though now retired, Nurmagomedov will remain Undefeated just like SHK’s aptly titled single, which provides the much needed motivational message we need in this tumultuous year.
