We have never quite been able to pin Börni’s style down throughout her music career, enjoying success from her early garage rock beginnings, through to emo and hip hop.. We can’t keep up! However, according to the Swiss star, the REAL Börni has been born with her new single “New Heights”.
After signing a record deal with Sony Music off the back of her participation in Swiss show, Musicstar in 2007, Börni (pronounced Boer-ni BTW) produced two albums Fighter and Plan B whilst working alongside some of the most successful producers in Switzerland and four-time Grammy-nominated song-writer and producer, Linda Perry. Her time in America then led to the creation of an American brand and alter-ego that would serve this style and music – Vava Voom! Börni teamed up with supergroup The Aristocrats and recording artist Sean Kingston to release her hit single, Supersonic, which received international airplay across the States and Europe, not to mention brand partnerships with G Shock and Adidas.
However, with her true style still buried inside her, Börni feels like her new single “New Heights” is the first chance for her own identity as a fresh, young, uniquely cool artist while still maintaining her roots in her home country of Switzerland to come out and as a result has re-emerged as the recording artist Börni. I don’t know about you, but we are loving Börni and the new style! More please!
Whilst we wait for her to drop some more tunes in 2020, we’ll be reminiscing on all the amazing collabs she has been a part of through her social channels below – why not join us.. You know you want to!
