Urban Radar’s Weekend Soundtrack: What we’re listening to this weekend

A mix of the old and new, established and unsigned. Released every Friday to help you soundtrack your weekend with only the best tunes.

1. Kehlani – Nunya

Kehlani and Dom Kennedy pair up on Kehlani’s recent track Nunya – a consistent bass-heavy track with chill beats and smooth soulful vocals. The winter-wonderful visuals that accompany the track compliments the crisp tone of the single and shows the maturity of Kehlani as an artist – a track you should definitely be chilling to this weekend!

2. Alex Dutty – Emoji

Choosing the avoid the stereotypical ‘guns, drugs, money and hoes’ content, Alex Dutty delivers brutally candid and relatable accounts of his deprived childhood. Dropping his newest single Emoji featuring Black Rose only a few days ago, the track is one to watch.

3. Kojo Funds ft.Raye – Check

Taking it back to last year, we thought we’d include Kojo Funds’ track Check this weekend because who doesn’t love the acoustic sampling of 7 Days taken from the smooth RnB and garage king Craig David. The overlapping of Kojo Funds’ undeniable rap and Raye’s crisp, soulful vocals make Check a track guaranteed to provide your weekend good vibes.

4. 21 Savage ft. J Cole – A lot

An artist whose name has been press popular over recent months has released his latest track A Lot – a track that you’ll have playing in your head this weekend long after the record has stopped playing. With a catchy consistent beat and a background of soulful vocals the track has a layering depth that you’ll want to play over and over.
